Seller pays freight and ICC-A insurance to named destination. Higher than CIF minimum insurance.

The insurance distinction above is stated by the ICC itself: in the 2020 edition, CIP requires a “higher level of cover, compliant with the Institute Cargo Clauses (A)”, where CIF does not. That is the difference between the two insured rules, and it is the one most often got wrong.
