CERN's open research repository accepting datasets, software, preprints, and other outputs with guaranteed DOIs and long-term preservation.
Zenodo describes itself as “a free and open digital archive built by CERN and OpenAIRE, enabling researchers to share and preserve research output in any size, format and from all fields of research”, developed with founding support from the European Commission and running on the open-source InvenioRDM repository software. It “does not impose any requirements on format, size, access restrictions or licence”. That openness is the point and the caveat at once: Zenodo preserves and assigns identifiers, it does not peer-review, so a Zenodo record is a deposit rather than a publication.
