Indicative only. Freight prices move weekly — no honest website can quote them for you. What this tool does do: apply the industry's real chargeable-weight rules to your cargo, multiply by a rate you enter (editable example defaults), and show a clearly-labelled ballpark band to sanity-check quotes against.

The real rules this tool applies

• Sea LCL charges on “weight or measure” (W/M): chargeable units = the greater of volume in cbm or weight in tonnes (1 cbm ⇋ 1,000 kg), usually with a 1-unit minimum.
• Air charges on chargeable weight: the greater of actual weight and volumetric weight at the standard IATA divisor (1 cbm ≈ 167 kg, i.e. 6,000 cm³/kg).
• Sea FCL is priced per box: containers needed = whichever runs out first, space or payload. Nominal capacity ≈ 33 cbm / ~28 t payload for a 20 ft and ≈ 67 cbm / ~26.5 t for a 40 ft — practical stuffing is usually a few cbm less, which is what the estimator assumes.

Why we won’t quote you a price

Ocean and air rates swing with fuel, season, capacity and surcharges (BAF, peak-season, war-risk…), and LCL adds origin/destination charges that can exceed the ocean leg. The defaults here are round example numbers, not market data — overwrite them with a live rate from a carrier, forwarder or rate index, then use the band (−25% / +35%) to allow for surcharges and spread. Always close with a real forwarder quotation.
