MLSS does not publish a public register of approved or sponsoring employers — the application ties a specific employer to a specific permit, but there is no searchable employer list. The Skills Certificate is also not automatic — it is issued by category and must be applied for and approved before it substitutes for a work permit.

PICA grants permanent residence on employment, retirement, marriage or dependency grounds, and processes citizenship by descent, marriage, and cases of doubt.

Settlement: tax registration, national insurance, driving, healthcare

New residents register for a Taxpayer Registration Number (TRN) with Tax Administration Jamaica, contribute to NIS through their employer, and can convert a foreign driving licence through the Island Traffic Authority.

Jamaica does not have a universal free public healthcare enrolment process comparable to TRN/NIS — public hospitals are accessible to residents, but no separate government healthcare-registration portal was found; omitted rather than guessed.
