Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment Directive — EU law on collection, recycling, and recovery of electrical equipment.
The official title: “Directive 2012/19/EU of the European Parliament and of the Council of 4 July 2012 on waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE) (recast)”. RoHS governs what goes into equipment; WEEE governs what happens to it at end of life — the two are routinely confused and routinely apply to the same product.
