Trade tools

Curated by Vinod Kumar Jain & Amit Jain · All Frontier Global · free, no login

Sixty-three interactive tools in nine clusters — honest math and honest method notes, fed with your own rates and your own answers. Fourteen were ported from the estate's archive; forty-nine were built from scratch against shells that had promised a tool and never carried one.

Trade & customs (10)

Ten tools for moving goods across a border and knowing what it costs: freight and landed cost, duty and remission, classification, trade remedies, carbon, and whether a mandate is worth taking.

Freight Estimator/tools/freight-estimator/

Sea FCL, sea LCL and air. Applies the real chargeable-weight rules to your cargo, multiplies by a rate you enter, and returns a labelled ballpark band.

FTA Savings Estimator/tools/fta-savings-estimator/

Duty at the MFN rate against duty at the agreement’s preferential rate — the saving, and what it is worth as a share of shipment value.

RoDTEP Finder/tools/rodtep-finder/

How India’s export remission scheme works, how to find your line in DGFT Appendix 4R, and an e-scrip estimate from the official rate and per-unit cap.

Incoterms Selector/tools/incoterms-selector/

Four or five questions on mode, carriage, risk and insurance narrow the eleven Incoterms 2020 rules to the one that fits — with the traps named.

Landed Cost Calculator/tools/landed-cost-calculator/

CIF, duty, cess, GST/VAT on a tax base you choose, fixed fees and per-unit cost, with every step of the arithmetic shown.

HS Code Lookup/tools/hs-code-lookup/

Keyword-filter the 21 Harmonized System sections and 97 chapters, then jump to the official classifiers — WCO, ICEGATE, TARIC, US HTS.

Anti-Dumping Checker/tools/anti-dumping-checker/

A method, not a verdict: builds your AD/CVD search plan and links the official measure databases. Quotes no rates, on purpose.

CBAM Calculator/tools/cbam-calculator/

Indicative EU carbon border cost for the six covered goods groups, from tonnage, intensity and today’s ETS price you supply.

Mandate ROI Calculator/tools/mandate-roi/

Expected value, ROI and break-even probability on a success-fee mandate, from your own deal value, costs and odds of closing.

Mandate Comparison/tools/mandate-comparison/

Two or three mandates on expected value, net of costs, and per month of effort — the number that decides which to chase.

Compliance & legal (11)

Eleven orientation tools for the questions that carry consequences. Every one is a self-check or a routing guide, none is an audit, a screening service or legal advice, and none reproduces regulation or copyrighted standard text — the official sources are named on each page and they govern.

AEO Readiness Scorer/tools/aeo-readiness-scorer/

Ten checks against the real Authorised Economic Operator criteria, scored in your browser. A self-assessment, not a customs determination.

Sanctions Screening Guide/tools/sanctions-screener/

Where to check, what to search, what to record — routed to the UN, OFAC, EU, OFSI and SECO lists. It performs no screening and holds no list data.

Trade Compliance Checker/tools/compliance-checker/

Twelve questions across export control, sanctions process, records, classification, origin, valuation, licences and training.

EU Compliance Checker/tools/eu-compliance-checker/

Orientation for selling into the EU — registration, conformity, substances, labelling, import VAT, data protection. No regulation text reproduced.

GMP Readiness Check/tools/gmp-checker/

Principle areas an inspection examines, in plain words. Orientation only — GMP is assessed by regulators and auditors, not by a web page.

Automotive Quality Readiness/tools/iatf-checker/

Clause-family orientation for an automotive quality system. IATF 16949 is copyrighted and no part of it appears here.

GDPR Fit Check/tools/gdpr-fit-check/

Two parts: whether EU data-protection law is likely to reach you, then twelve checks on the practice. Orientation, not legal advice.

Jurisdiction & Venue Guide/tools/jurisdiction-selector/

The factors behind governing law and dispute venue — assets, enforceability, arbitration against courts, language, proportionality.

IP Filing Pathfinder/tools/ip-filing-pathfinder/

What you are protecting routed to the right class of right, what filing involves, and the official offices. No fee schedules.

Contract Class Chooser/tools/contract-template-chooser/

Which class of contract fits, and the clauses that decide how it goes wrong. No templates — deliberately.

Data Compliance Cost Estimator/tools/dpa-cost-estimator/

Systems, vendors, training, audits and internal time at unit costs you supply. No prices embedded.

Work & careers (10)

Ten tools for the decisions a working life turns on — what to do, how to present it, what an offer is really worth, what a grant is really worth, when notice actually ends, and which visa route applies. Nothing here scores a person: no salary band, no psychometric, no eligibility verdict.

Career Path Matcher/tools/career-path-matcher/

Five questions rank broad career families by fit, with what the work is like and the subject guides worth reading next. Exploration, not assessment.

Skill Gap Analyser/tools/skill-gap-analyser/

Target-role skills against honest self-ratings, ordered by importance-weighted shortfall. The priority order is the only thing it adds.

Resume Keyword Match/tools/resume-ats-optimiser/

Paste resume and job description; word-overlap analysis runs in your browser. It matches words, not merit — never keyword-stuff.

Profile Polish Score/tools/linkedin-polish-score/

A twelve-point self-review of headline, about section, evidence, recency and activity. No profile is fetched or read.

Interview Prep Checklist/tools/interview-prep-checklist/

Twelve checks across research, stories, questions, logistics and follow-up, with a readiness band. Prints cleanly.

Job Offer Evaluator/tools/job-offer-evaluator/

Up to three offers on one annual footing — base, bonus, your equity estimate, benefits and the commute costed at your own hourly value.

Contract vs Full-Time/tools/contract-vs-fulltime/

A package and a day rate on the same pre-tax annual footing, plus the day rate that would exactly match the salary.

Stock Options Valuer/tools/stock-options-valuer/

Paper intrinsic value, per-year vest and what exercising would cost. Paper value is not cash, and the page says so throughout.

Notice Period Planner/tools/notice-period-planner/

Last working day from the date you give notice and the length your contract specifies, with working days counted and holidays deducted.

Work Visa Route Guide/tools/work-visa-pathfinder/

The questions that determine which route applies, plus the official government sources. No rules embedded, no eligibility verdict.

Learning & study (8)

Eight tools for deciding what to study, in what format, at what cost — and for finding the funding, the visa route and the literature. The three ROI tools all make the same point in different settings: the hours cost more than the fee.

Course Format Finder/tools/course-fit-finder/

Goal, time, budget class and how you learn, matched to degree, diploma, MOOC, bootcamp or self-study — with each format’s real cost.

Certification Cost-Benefit/tools/cert-cost-benefit/

Fees plus study hours at your own hourly value against the salary change you expect — payback period and multi-year net.

MOOC ROI Estimator/tools/mooc-roi-estimator/

Course fee plus the hours it really takes, weighted by how likely you are to finish, against the benefit you expect.

GPA & Percentile Converter/tools/gpa-percentile-converter/

4.0 GPA, 10-point CGPA and percentage side by side under the common conventions — labelled conventions, not equivalences.

Test Prep Readiness/tools/test-prep-readiness/

Syllabus coverage, timed practice, error logs, mocks, method and logistics. No exam-specific content.

Scholarship Search Guide/tools/scholarship-eligibility-checker/

The factor classes schemes screen on, turned into a search inventory, plus where the official lists live. No amounts, no deadlines.

Study Visa Route Guide/tools/visa-for-study-eligibility/

Acceptance, funds evidence, language, work rights and what comes after, with the official sources. No thresholds embedded.

Thesis & Preprint Finder/tools/thesis-repository-finder/

Where theses actually live — repositories, national libraries, aggregators and the open subject archives — as a search plan.

Money (7)

Seven calculators for the arithmetic behind a personal financial decision: compounding, a savings goal, a retirement corpus, what a currency quote and a card really cost, what to charge, and what a trip will actually run to. No tax table, salary band or scheme rate is embedded in any of them.

Compound Returns Projector/tools/compound-returns-projector/

Lump sum plus monthly contributions at a return you assume, year by year, with what you put in kept separate from what growth added.

Savings Goal Projector/tools/savings-goal-projector/

Solve a goal either way: the monthly amount a deadline demands, or the time your monthly saving actually needs.

Pension / PF Projector/tools/pension-pf-projector/

Corpus from monthly contributions and an employer match, at an interest rate you enter — no scheme rate is embedded.

FX Margin Calculator/tools/fx-margin-calculator/

Your quote against your reference rate: the spread as a percentage and as money, in both currencies. No rate is fetched.

Card Fee Calculator/tools/card-fee-calculator/

FX markup, flat fees and cash-advance charges on up to three cards side by side, from terms you enter yourself.

Freelance Rate Calculator/tools/freelance-rate-calculator/

Work back from the income you need to the day rate that delivers it — billable days, overheads, your own set-aside and a buffer.

Currency & Budget Planner/tools/currency-budget-planner/

Trip budget built in the destination currency and converted once at a rate you supply, with the buffer that actually saves budgets.

Media & publishing (4)

Four tools for the arithmetic and the hygiene around publishing: what content costs, what a newsletter returns, how long a piece takes to read, and whether a podcast can be found.

Word Cost Calculator/tools/word-cost-calculator/

Content budgets both ways: volume times a rate, or a budget divided by it — per piece, per month, with fixed costs where they belong.

Newsletter ROI/tools/newsletter-roi/

Subscribers through opens, clicks and conversions at your value per conversion, against cost — plus the break-even list size.

Reading Time Estimator/tools/reading-time-estimator/

Words divided by a reading speed you set, always shown alongside the slow-to-fast range that matters more than the headline.

Podcast Discoverability Check/tools/podcast-seo-checker/

Titles, show notes, transcripts, feed hygiene and having a page of your own. No platform is contacted.

Fitness math (4)

Four tools that do arithmetic on numbers you supply, using published equations named and written out on each page. None of them is medical, dietary or coaching advice, none generates a plan, and none is a substitute for a qualified professional. Anything involving pain, a health condition, pregnancy, being under 18 or a history of disordered eating belongs with a doctor, not a web page. Health and medical tools proper remain deliberately absent from this section.

Running Pace Planner/tools/running-pace-planner/

Any one of distance, time or pace from the other two, with splits for 5K, 10K, half and full at that pace.

Energy & Macro Split/tools/macros-calculator/

The published Mifflin-St Jeor equation, written out, times an activity factor, split into macros. A population estimate, not dietary advice.

VO2 Max Estimator/tools/vo2max-estimator/

Cooper 12-minute test and a resting heart-rate method, both published and shown, with an honest error band. A field estimate, not a lab measurement.

Race Readiness Check/tools/race-readiness/

Long-run history, volume consistency, practice, recovery and taper. No plan is generated, and pain belongs with a professional.

Research & drafting aids (4)

Four tools that draft or retrieve rather than calculate. Two search Crossref for real papers; all four use a language model for the drafting half and never let the two mix. Every generated word is labelled as generated, no citation is ever produced by the model, and the two essay-adjacent tools carry an academic-integrity note: submitting AI-written work as your own may violate your institution’s rules.

DOI Explorer/tools/doi-explorer/

Paste a DOI or search a topic: real Crossref metadata, references and a copy-ready citation, with an optional AI explanation labelled as a drafting aid.

Thesis Statement Workshop/tools/thesis-maker/

Sharpened thesis candidates you can tighten or expand, alongside real Crossref papers. The generated half and the retrieved half are kept apart.

Essay Structuring Aid/tools/essay-generator/

Topic, length and register into a structure you can argue against. A drafting aid — submitting AI-written work as your own may breach your institution’s rules.

Idea Generator/tools/idea-generator/

A theme and your real constraints into a spread of genuinely different ideas, respun until one catches. AI suggestions — judge them yourself.

Planning & elsewhere (5)

Five tools for the work around the work. Both of the tools that call the estate’s own AI live here and both say so on their own pages.

Market-Entry Assessment/tools/market-entry-assessment/

Seven questions compose a brief; the site’s AI drafts the assessment. The one tool here that uses the network, and it shows you the brief first.

Intelligence Digest/tools/intelligence-digest/

Name a topic; the estate’s analyst endpoint gathers recent public signals and drafts a four-line briefing, with the signals shown.

Timezone Overlap Calculator/tools/timezone-overlap-calculator/

The working hours two or three locations actually share, drawn on a 24-hour bar and written out in every local clock.

Residency Day Counter/tools/tax-residency-planner/

Days present per jurisdiction from your travel periods against a threshold you supply. No country rules embedded.

Remote Work Readiness/tools/remote-work-readiness/

Connectivity redundancy, async habits, timezone discipline, workspace, security hygiene and whether it survives a busy week.

What these are, and what they are not

Fifty-seven of the sixty-three run entirely in your browser: they fetch nothing, set no cookie and store nothing you type. That is a deliberate limit rather than a shortcut — freight rates, tariff lines, tax bands, sanctions listings and exchange rates all change on someone else’s schedule, and a number cached on this page would be quietly wrong within months. So the tools ask you for the figure, are honest about where to find it, and then do the arithmetic in front of you with every step shown. Six of the sixty-three are exceptions and every one says so on its own page: the market-entry assessment and the intelligence digest call the estate’s own AI; the four research and drafting aids call that same AI, and two of them also reach Crossref through this site’s own proxy to retrieve real papers. All six show you what they sent or what they found, and label generated text as generated. Nothing else here reaches the network at all, and no tool anywhere contacts a third party directly.

Fourteen are ports of tools that ran on the old site for years — input sets, defaults, worked math, banded verdicts and honesty notes came across intact, with the HS, CBAM and AEO reference data carried byte-for-byte from the archived source. The other forty-nine are new. Each replaces a page that had a title, a promise and no tool behind it, and each honours that promise only as far as it can be honoured honestly. Where it could not be, the page says so and withdraws it: the FX tool no longer claims to compare named providers, the card tool models no rewards, the contract comparator scores no “security”, the offer evaluator scores no “culture”, the options valuer offers no exit probability, the grade converter refuses UK classes and ECTS because neither maps arithmetically, the contract chooser offers no templates at all, and the sanctions page states plainly that it performs no screening and holds no list data. The compliance and legal tools go further: not one of them reproduces regulation text or any part of a copyrighted standard, and each names the official source that governs instead.

The rest of the archive

The old index promised “100+ free trade tools”. That count was never true of what was reachable and working, which is why this index claims sixty-three and lists sixty-three. The archive’s genuine tools numbered fourteen, and all fourteen have been ported: everything that had working logic behind it is here. Everything since has been built from a shell — a page title, a sentence of marketing and an empty widget — and only where there was something honest to put behind it. Health and medical tools from the old tree are deliberately absent and will stay absent until they can be built to a standard that suits the subject. Some shells will never appear here at all, because the promise printed on them cannot be kept without data nobody should trust a static page to hold.

What will not return, and why. Seven tools from the old tree are withdrawn rather than pending, and it is worth naming them so nobody waits: recovery-time-calculator (medical-adjacent — honest recovery modelling is individual and belongs with a professional, not an equation on a page) salary-benchmark (needs maintained salary data we would have to buy, cache and let go stale) youtube-cpm-lookup (needs live platform revenue data nobody outside the platform holds) journal-impact-lookup (needs licensed bibliometric data) paper-citation-tracker (needs a live citation index) conference-deadline-tracker (needs a maintained deadline feed that would rot within a term) tournament-schedule-finder (needs live fixture data). Each needs data that is licensed, live, or changes faster than a static page can honestly hold — and the first of them is medical-adjacent, which is a line this section does not cross. Health and medical tools proper remain deferred for the same reason, pending a standard that suits the subject.

Two more that will not return. music-muse (a 3.7 KB promotional shell for the estate's own MusicMuse app, which lives at musicmuse.allfrontierglobal.com) study-options (a 3.8 KB promotional shell for the estate's own StudyOptions app, which lives at studyoptions.allfrontierglobal.com). Both were promotional shells rather than tools, and the applications they pointed at are real and better used directly. Nine archive pages are now withdrawn in total, and the reasons have not changed: licensed or live data, medical adjacency, or nothing behind the promise.

Sources

This index cites nothing external because it asserts nothing external: the only claims on it are about what these sixty-three pages are. Each tool carries its own Sources note. The open sources and keyless APIs behind all of this are listed, with a sample call for each, on Free Data. Seven point at official sources — DGFT and ICEGATE for RoDTEP, the ICC for Incoterms, the WCO and national tariffs for HS codes, the WTO and five national authorities for AD/CVD, the European Commission for CBAM, the WCO and the EU and India programmes for AEO, and the UN, OFAC, EU, OFSI and SECO for sanctions routing. Twenty-seven more name the authorities behind the compliance and legal orientation tools — the European Commission, ECHA, the EDPB and EUR-Lex, the WHO and CDSCO, WIPO and the national IP offices. The rest cite nothing and say why: because every number in their output is one you typed, or because a language model has no citations to give. No page here embeds a tax rate, a salary band, a scheme interest rate, a certification fee, a residency threshold, a sanctions listing, an exchange rate, regulation text or any part of a copyrighted standard, and none stores an input.
